Brand Strategy, Creation and Packaging

The Challenge

As Aldi’s sole Wine & Spirit creative design agency, we create and update brands and packaging to attract sales across the category.

Solution

We were recently appointed Aldi’s sole agency for Wine & Spirit branding and packaging design. Creating every piece of this important category’s packaging is no mean feat. We began by identifying the lack of quality differentiation across the category and created a tiered system to aid customer purchase.

We’ve updated existing packaging and created entirely new brands, all led by a brand story we’ve developed to inform meaningful design. As well as craft beers and spirits, this includes over 300 seasonal and core wines. We even created an online ‘wine cellar’ to enable us and the client to see details of the entire range and search by type, country, tier, brand, season and launch.

Taking a creative rather than packaging led approach helps us to ensure that every piece of packaging truly stands out in its natural environment - on the supermarket shelf.
