No Roads, Just Roots
Information
A client approached us with a concept for their new wine company. Experienced wine aficionados, they’re focus was on quality over volume and making sustainability an essential ingredient in every bottle that they sell. Promoting environmental responsibility, with techniques such as regenerative agriculture, topped their list of requirements.
Insight
The company doesn’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to sustainability and the environment, but in finding different ways to support it, all across the globe. That often means going back to basics, with traditional sustainable methods, in the vineyards where their wines are made. It means reducing the material in the bottle and its label. Thinking about all the small steps they make that add up to a big difference led us to our concept and name: Less = More.
Impact
More taste, less impact. Summing up the business in this simple idea lives and breathes the values of this brand. As well as the name, Less = More gave them a clear manifestation of what they stand for and how they move forward. It informed the social media campaign, started on Instagram, then LinkedIn. From these small roots, the first four wines produced, in Chile, were sold before they had even left South America.
“Those old vines don’t need much water but still produce great grapes. That’s the vibe we went for with Less is More — simple, straightforward and minimal.”
